ABOUT THE PEAK CHAIR
The Peak chair, which has been awarded the ARC 21 award, is a sustainable design chair by Joost van der Vecht. The name Peak is a reference to the mountain tops that are becoming increasingly barren be caused by climate change.
The starting point was to design a durable, usable and elegant chair. The curved back and seat of the chair are made of waste paper, an essentially unusable – but clean – raw material that gets a second life and can be processed into a new chair in the future. The chair is available in a veneered, upholstered or hybrid (upholstered seat) version.

Materials
We select and test the best and most sustainable, circular materials for our furniture with the greatest care. We draw up a raw materials passport for each piece of furniture.
The core of the chair is made of compressed recycled waste paper. The seat and back of the upholstered chair are filled with coconut hair and finished with a layer of recycled lambswool with a wear-resistant top layer of recycled wool or PET.
